In battery banks operating at 24Vdc or 48Vdc, composed of multiple batteries, slight variations in internal leakage current can lead to undercharging or overcharging in batteries connected in parallel or series. This issue is further aggravated by frequent occurrences of Partial State of Charge (PSoC), which limits opportunities for fully charging the batteries, leading to imbalances in charge levels. The Battery Guard (BGK) is designed to address these challenges by individually equalizing each battery. It continuously monitors the real-time voltage and temperature of each battery unit, ensuring that any differences in the State of Charge (SoC) are balanced during charging. When integrated with a TBB inverter or system monitor, the BGK not only extends the lifespan of the battery bank but also provides alarms for over-voltage and under-voltage conditions in individual batteries. Additionally, the BGK system transmits real-time data to the TBB inverter or central monitor, allowing for comprehensive monitoring of the battery bank's health. Each BGK module features an LCD display that shows the voltage and temperature, offering a straightforward way to oversee battery conditions.
