The inverter comes with improved features compared to our hot-selling RiiO Sun series, such as dual MPPT trackers design, a programmable smart port, the ability to operate without batteries, and the AGS function.

Low frequency transformer-based design

RiiO Sun II is a low frequency transformer-based inverter with powerful surge (200%) and overload (300%) ability for powering heavy loads easily.

Supports Parallel & Three-phase Operations up to 9 units

RiiO Sun II supports parallel and three-phase connection for capacity expansion up to 54kVA (max. 9 units), ideal for large residential and small commercial applications.

Dual MPPT trackers

RiiO Sun II (5kVA and 6kVA models) is equipped with dual MPPT trackers for houses with multiple rooftop areas, allowing panel flexible installation at different orientations for higher energy generation. Its Voc is up to 250V and it allows a maximum PV input current of 36A for each tracker.

One programmable smart port

Innovatively, the inverter (5kVA and 6kVA models) is developed with a programmable smart port, which can be connected to a generator to realize two AC inputs for the system, or programmed as a second AC output to power non-critical loads to realize smart load management.

Optional to work without battery

Unlike traditional off-grid inverters, RiiO Sun II stands out with its capability to work without battery - making it particularly attractive when you have a limited budget at the initial stage of your investment.

AGS function

Designed with a programmable relay to automatically start and stop a generator (AGS function) based on the load power, battery voltage/SoC and time period, RiiO Sun II optimizes the usage of a generator to lower your energy bills while ensuring a non-stop power supply without manual operation.

2ms UPS-level transfer time

Impressively, RiiO Sun II can seamlessly enable battery backup power to provide continuous power to critical loads in the event of a sudden grid failure.

Maximize self-consumption & ESS

In addition to these new upgrades, RiiO Sun II supports feeding energy back into the grid (subject to your local network regulatory requirements), so it is capable of powering loads connected on the AC input. 

The system preferentially supplies PV power to the home loads, and the excess power is stored in the battery. If the battery reserved SoC is reached and there is still suplus power, RiiO Sun II can export the surplus to power the AC loads connected on its input side. In this way, the self-consumption of solar energy is increased, thus the electricity costs can be greatly saved. Its working diagram is as follows:

When multiple RiiO Sun II are connected in parallel or three-phase, you can maximize self-consumption and realize peak shaving with the usage of E4 LCD monitor and grid meter.
